Writing the message

How the sourcing message works, the merge fields, the AI draft, and the per-channel preview.

One message is written per run and sent to everyone the run contacts, each seeing their own name.

Merge fields

Use {FIRSTNAME} and {LASTNAME} where the person's name goes. Each board fills them its own way, and Tenure translates for you: Indeed uses its own candidate fields, PracticeLink broadcast email has no name fields so the greeting goes generic, and the database email fills the real name.

The greeting

Physicians and surgeons are addressed as "Hi Dr. {LASTNAME},". Nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and everyone else are addressed as "Hi {FIRSTNAME},". The AI draft follows this from the profession and title you gave; if you write the message yourself, use the same convention.

Generate with AI

Click Generate with AI and Tenure writes a subject line and message from the role: the strongest concrete fact first (pay, schedule, "no call"), one or two lines on the role using only facts you gave, one closing ask the person can answer in a sentence, and a sign-off with your first name. The company always speaks as "we". Nothing is invented: if you did not give pay, the draft does not name a number. Click Rewrite with AI to try again after changing the details, or edit the text directly.

You need a role title before the draft can be written.

Preview on each channel

Preview on each channel shows the exact subject and message as each channel will send it, with notes on the differences. Read it as the candidate would before you start.

What converts

From Tenure's own sourcing: lead with the number, keep it under 90 words, ask for one thing ("Are you open to a role in Austin?", "Reply with the states you hold licenses in" for a multi-state or locums role), and never open with the company or a compliment.
